Brandt Miller

Brandt Miller received a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in creative writing and a minor in anthropology from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. After graduation he was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to Mongolia where he researched the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities. His project culminated in a multimedia exhibition funded by the US and British Embassies shown at the Mongolian Museum of Modern Art and the LGBT Center of New York City. The short film installed in the exhibit has been accepted into the Hamburg Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, Barcelona Film Festival, and NewFest in Manhattan.

During his Fulbright, Brandt had his photographs featuring traditional Mongolian culture published in The Atlantic Monthly. He later moved to Cambodia where he was an associate editor for the nation's English-language newspaper.

Brandt is presently living in New York City, pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction. He plans to continue his work around the globe as a multimedia documentary artist focusing on marginalized communities.

 

 

 

Mareike Günsche

Mareike began working as a photojournalist directly after school. She then attended university, majoring in photography.  Her time has been spent between Hannover, Berlin and Hamburg, Germany.  She has had a fellowship for the last 4 years focusing on the German Workers Union. She is currently working on a portrait series to represent women’s status in Mongolian society.  With her series on drag kings, she won the Canon Award in 2009.   

 

 

 

Sean Devaney

Sean Devaney is a recent graduate of Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, living and working in New York City as a freelance filmmaker.  He has directed and produced several short films, music videos and viral Internet video campaigns.  He is currently co-writing his first feature screenplay which he will also direct.
